Rock Fairies Kloof is a valley and is located in Mpumalanga, near Waterval Boven. This is a beautiful hike out towards the escarpment and onto a plateau. It then descends down into the Rock Faeries valley and through an indigenous forest. It reaches the river and follows it up to the base of the waterfall.
Amazing place, with some challenging sections, but so enjoyable. The views are spectacular. Make sure you bring enough water and snacks to keep the energy levels up. This trail is well-marked and well-maintained and one of the favorites of this area. There are seven waterfalls on this route which are absolutely amazing and refreshing.

A beautiful easy hike, great in the early morning. If you go counter-clockwise the first section will show you some of the old (and still mysterious) stone circles, the middle section will give you amazing views from above the cliffs, and the third section will allow you to cool off in the Rock Fairies River.
Start as for the Stone Circles Loop, but after the first straight section (between the Stone Circles) keep going straight to reach the “Valley of the Giant Aloes”. At the next fork, go right for a short uphill to the Big Cairn Saddle, then all the way down through the forest. Be warned: this part is short but can be quite strenuous, both downhill (knees!) and/or uphill (breath!).
